After dropping our bags off at our weekend chateau, we headed out for a drink and/or a snack. We went to La Perle, but just about at the second I got to the bar to order, the lights came up and service was cut off. So much for that. So we headed back towards our apartment and stopped at the little wine bar nearby, Les Philosophes, for a glass of bio-wine (which was delicious) and some fromage.
The next morning, our first stop was at Pierre Hermé for some macarons. We tried a few different flavours, including jasmine and passionfruit/strawberry/lemon and they were all good.
After a few more stops (Le Pain Sucre for a bagel-dough-like pastry stuffed with spinach and bacon, and a green tea marshmallow; and a croissant from Le Julien), we settled down at Le Cafeothéque for our breakfast picnic feast: |
